Crochet a Filet Square Bookmark with Cockscomb Trim

Often we need a little tuck-in gift for a card or a tray favor. Bookmarks are always a welcome present because not only are they useful for marking our places in our reading material but they are sweet handmade touches that remind us of the giver. If you have some thread, a hook and a spare hour, this little gem will come to life right before your eyes. Pattern uses thread doubled but could also be made in heavy yarn for an ornament. Not comfortable working with thread? Then, try the pattern in Red Heart yarn for a present topper, window decoration or Christmas ornament.
