1916 Bucilla Butterfly in the Filet Stitch

Here is a pretty little butterfly taken from an antique book called Bucilla Blue Book of Novelty and Filet Crochet No. 6. I have an original publication of this book in my personal library.
I have re-charted the design and worked it in the extended double crochet stitch. The charts are easy to read and include both graph and virtual stitch. This chart is only 25 squares by 31 squares, is quickly accomplished and can be used in a variety of ways Works published before 1923 are in the public domain, the copyright has expired on the original design. However, I retain the copyright on my re-worked charts and graphs.
I used the extended double crochet stitch to give a more square piece, but feel free to use the normal double crochet or even the treble crochet to work your piece.
Pattern:
Extended double crochet (edc): Extended double crochet (edc): yo hook, insert hook into stitch, pull up a loop, yo, draw through one loop one hook only-3 loops on hook remaining, yo, draw through 2 loops on hoop, yo, draw through rem 2 loops on hook.
